Solar Panel Price increases continue

Renewable Energy World reports on 11/15/17 There is a critical shortage of a raw material needed to make Solar panels in china. Between the Tariff being imposed on any non USA made solar panels and this shortage it looks like the Solar Panel Price increases continue to be an issue. Many solar companies are either buying USA made like Portable Solar LLC OR they are relying on huge stores they have to get them through this rough time. Some companies still have older contracts that guarantee them the low prices they were already paying. This is causing the panels to cost more for the rest of the companies. We will continue to support USA made products.

Here’s another kicker. Even the companies making the Solar Panels here in the USA get the polysilicon from china. The environmental regulators in china shut down many factories which alone caused a 35% increase in prices. As we were hoping to get solar off the ground and into every home and business, we are faced once again with slow downs.

There was a huge panel shortage in the past few months as reported by Renewable Energy World OCT 26 2017. You can read all about it here or on our blog post. We will try to bring you updates to help explain the industry pricing fluctuations. Stay tuned…Click on the “Breaking News” Tab under “Threats to the Grid”

Hybrid Inverters 101: The Future of Solar Energy Systems

What is a Hybrid Inverter? Hybrid inverters are an essential component of modern solar power systems. At their core, they act as a bridge between a solar panel (PV) array and the electrical grid or a battery storage system. Unlike traditional inverters, which only convert the direct current (DC) generated by solar panels into alternating
